Smile!

Since her passing in 2008, I still long for more pictures of my mother-in-law. Self-conscious of her smile, she shooed us away when the camera approached so our pictures were mostly taken from a side view, without her noticing.

When your kids want to take your picture, say YES. Be cheesy; bring out that big smile that shows the joy of being with them.

When they want your picture they are saying “I love you. This moment is special. You are precious to me.”

Embrace being wanted and their wanting to remember you.
